Site Preparation
This section deals with site preparation and the preparing and building of the foundations. However, before we begin, we wanted to move some of large stones and excess topsoil into pre-prepared areas of the garden ready for landscaping after the house is built. We decided to do this in advance for three key reasons, Firstly, it's a good way to get rid of the topsoil and excess material created after the digging of the foundations (removing topsoil can be an expensive operation), secondly, because it would be difficult to move large amount of materials into the rear garden area once the house is built (There will only be a one meter pathway available!) and finally, simply because we had a digger on site which made moving large large amount of materials on site very easy!
