Pressure Testing

Before the pipes can be used (and preferably before they're 're buried), they need to be pressure tested to ensure there are no leaks within the system. In this case, we've used pumped in air at 1.5 bar pressure and then monitored the pipes using a simple pressure meter attached to one end of the main feed pipes that go into the manifold. There are six inlets and outlets on the manifold and each has it's own valve. This allows us to test each 100Mtr length of pipe separately to ensure its integrity before opening all the valves and testing the entire system.
